last night held at the House Klenke a Low German evening. Even last year, this evening of a series of events in the Advent season was here in Ottenstein. Some of the "elders" among them a get-together anecdotes from memory before, and indeed only be carried out in Low German. There was much laughter!

I understand even the Low German language, but they can not talk - except a few phrases. It would be a shame if this wonderful German heritage would be lost, but what can hardly be avoided, as it is practiced today as good as no more Low German. Unfortunately, no young people were present yesterday. I myself was the most recent visitor.
I'm looking forward to the next Evening of this kind and hope that perhaps even younger then find their way into the house Klenke fellow citizens.
